Authentic spirituality tells you the Truth, enhances your understanding, facilitates enlightenment, empowers you, and teaches you the knowledge and skills you need to fill up the water glass and return yourself to full awakening and empowerment. Authentic spirituality puts the knowledge and power in your hands so you can do it for yourself, and so you won’t have to stand around waiting futilely for grace, God, cosmic rays, or some magical evolutionary “shift” to get you where you need to go.
