I’m just going through one final pass of LP Workbook 3 and I’m going through the section on cognitive walls. I say “A cognitive wallΒ is often, though not always, the result of an unconscious desire to avoid.” It struck me while reading this that the current global fetish with “wall building” (right wing populist politics) is the physical manifestation of an old energy drive to avoid, at the highest level, awakening. Feels right. Feels like this is all a desperate push to avoid spiritual awakening, and the consequent personal, social, political, economic transformations that would necessarily have to occur. Thoughts.

Interesting I was just talking about the arbitrary borders yesterday, mostly undefined and unnatural, as the grass is exactly the same on both sides of the imagined border. Β Yes, I would agree, it is definitely an avoidance of awakening, because I could feel the strong resistance with the person I was talking with. Β As such, it is a cognitive wall as well. Β For the ones who want the wall there is a strong desire to keep others out and away , a fear of the others, or an unconscious desire to assert superiority over the others. Β It sickens me the current proposals to separate families, take children from their mothers who only wanted to protect their children and are fleeing from violence. How freaking uncompassionate! Separate the families and then send them back to violence.

What frightens me a bit is that cognitive walls are the least violent way of rejecting. There is also spiritual bypassing (unconscious avoidance behaviour) and active resistance (actively trying to suppress/put down). I think we see massive collective evidence for all of these in the current geopolitical environment.

Very familiar with the active resistance and put downs. Lots of bullies out there.

Regarding avoidance, yes, most people do not even want to talk about it, can’t listen, discuss, or consider another point of view.

Yes, cognitive walls are an excellent analogy. What’s crazy is the energy manipulated from the people in the forms of economic resources (labour power) and thoughts to unconsciously support these walls, to prolong the avoidance.

These cognitive and literal walls can only last so long.

The Great Wall of China has been around for thousands of years!

I hope the cognitive walls come down a lot sooner than that, though it looks to me like a generational thing. The old guard will gradually pass away, and the younger generation are more open and aware and will raise the collective consciousness, I think.

I watched an author interview with a guy who wrote a book telling us how “change” is becoming exponential. Technology is advancing at exponential rates and a couple other things, which I don’t remember really. He is right. Things are advancing very quickly now, and rates of change will only get faster. What blocks us in this moment is the “old guard,” but once they “pass away,” things will move so fast it will make your head spin. I don’t think we’ll have to wait much longer. The RMC of their PU is not prepared to go on much longer. The vehicle is broken. The driver’s are about to exchange for new models.

Also, we can’t wait for generational movement. Ecosystems are on the verge of collapse, and that collapse will accelerate exponentially as well. What we need to do is make a choice. We need to start visualizing the enlightenment of this planet, on a daily basis, with power and purpose. We need to put aside childish notions of non-involvement and force the issue. This is the point and purpose of the GI, and it is something we should all be doing multiple times a day.Β  If we don’t do this, things will collapse.
